• Artwork Frames

  Thank you so much for the amazing frames. They look so beautiful holding all of our student's artwork in the hallways. They are holding up so well too! The hallways are filled with artwork and fun photos of teachers with the students. The frames have really created a welcoming school environment for all who visit our school. I am sure the students love the new look as well and helps bring up their self-esteem when seeing their artwork framed. Thank you again for your generous donation towards our project. • Painting Murals

  Funded Feb 18, 2022

  These students have been working so hard to help beautify the school walls with these amazing canvases. So far we have learned about Keith Haring and created a mural inspired by his experimenting with the pointillism technique (painting with dots). We also have created a mural with the well-known artist Gini Bonnel, talking about what it means to be kind and spread kindness. We have two more blank canvases that we plan to work on soon, but so far our walls are becoming very colorful. Thank you so much for this amazing donation and for helping our school beautify its hallways. The students and I greatly appreciate your generous donation! Thank you!”

• Free Art Day Games

  Thank you so much for our classroom games. This school year we have really enjoyed playing games with our groups. It was even nice to set aside some time for students to come to Art class whenever they needed to break from Homeroom and play a game with the students. Everyone loves Uno, and the other games have been fun to really get to learn how to play as well. Our classroom favorite though has been the cooperation games where there is no winner, and everyone works together. Thank you so much for this donation. This donation has allowed me to have fun with the students and really build on the relationships with them. Thank you!”

• Art Books

  Thank you so much for donating books to the Art Classroom. These books have been a great resource for our students. The books also provide a great activity for students to do if they finished their artwork, and have nothing to do. Students really enjoy going to the carpet, relaxing and reading while waiting for their homeroom teacher. So far our favorite book to read together as a class has been "Yayoi Kusama Covered Everything in Dots and Wasn't Sorry." by Fausto Gilberti. While reading this book to the classes students got to do a lot of fun activities inspired by the artist Yayoi Kusama and a lot of art covered in DOTS!”

• Basic Art Supplies #2

  Thank you so much for your donation towards this project. This project really helped me supply my room to help my students succeed in Art Class. The clipboards have been put into great use, when going outside with classes and creating art. The acrylic paints have been helpful painting with students one-on-one, and building those relationships. The fluorescent light covers has reduced the harsh light in my classroom, and have really helped students remain calm when coming into my classroom. The masking tape, has been helpful to create a sensory line for students to get their wiggles out. The big item that has helped tremendously is the bookshelf holding all of our art books for students who finish early to enjoy and read. This donation has helped so much in our Art classroom this school year, and the students and I are incredibly grateful for your generous donation towards our supplies to use in the classroom. • Basic Art Supplies

  Thank you so much for donating towards art supplies to the art room at Westover Hills Elementary School. We have already used so much of the supplies, and it has made such an impact on the students. Thank you! Over the past couple of months the markers at each table has not run out of a certain color, and are getting great use. Students love the construction paper crayons because they show up so well on paper, and use them pretty much every class. Plus the colors are so vibrant and happy. The model magic, was the most fun material we used though, where our 4th and 5th grade created unique sculptures. Rest assured all of the donations from this project were utilized, and are still being put to great use. Thank you so much for your donation! We appreciate you, and everything you do!”

• YogArt Enrichment

  Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom Yoga mats. At the end of each month we have a Yoga enrichment day, where we spend half of the class working on calming, mindfulness and yoga. The other half of the class we create art at our yoga mats either expressing how we are feeling and/or drawing one of the characters from our Yoga story. In December we did yoga moves to the story of Frozen. After our yoga story we summarized the story, described the characters and drew either what we were feeling or what our favorite part of the story was. The students absolutely love yoga enrichment day and have a blast! Thank you so much for making this joy possible and know that you are bringing a smile to our students faces with your donation each and every yoga enrichment class. Thank you again!”

• The World Of Reading

  Thank you so much for donating towards books in the art classroom. So far we have already read 4 books in the classroom to go along with our art projects. The kids really have enjoyed the reading material and it has helped them understand art concepts better. For an example, our Kindergarten and 1st grade classes read Mouse Paint. Mouse paint goes over the 3 primary colors (red, yellow, & blue) and then discuses mixing the paint to make other colors also known as the secondary colors (Orange, green, &purple). We then painted and mixed colors to create a color wheel. After, we talked about the color wheel and how it could be used. The finishing touches were to make the circles into mice. The students and I really enjoyed this assignment. We are so excited to implement more of our books into our classroom art projects. Thank you so much for your donation!”
