So Many Books, So Little Time
Funded May 16, 2022The items from my project "So Many Books, So Little Time" were a great addition to our leisure center in my classroom. The book case and books were placed by our seating area where the students can read in the back of the classroom. The throw pillows were placed under our quiet space tent. The leisure area of the classroom is used by my students when they complete their independent assignments. It is also a part of the classroom utilized when they are feeling overwhelmed and need a quiet space.
The students were thrilled with this new addition to our class. They loved the book selection and are often reading using the pillows in the comfort of our new reading area. Thank you so much for your kindness! From the bottom of our hearts!”

Zooming with AirPods
Funded Nov 12, 2020Thank you for donating the wireless earbuds. These were used daily during our zoom meetings. They made our virtual lessons run smoothly and the students were able to hear us without problems.
We were having issues with feedback and background sounds, before we received your donation. The students would lose focus and we were unable to communicate effectively. Now the students can hear us and we can speak at the same time.
Having the wireless earbuds has also made our break out zoom lessons work. We are able to work with different groups in the same classroom without interference. We are so happy and the students have been focused on our lessons without interruptions.”

Funded Oct 9, 2019Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. As soon as we received it we worked on making red t-shirts to celebrate Red Ribbon Week. The Cricut Maker and the vinyl were used in this project. The students gave their input and ideas and were excited when we finished our design. Our t-shirts were the talk of the school and it made us proud.
The Cricut easy press mini was used to personalize my student's stockings. Each student got to cut out their name and it was pressed onto the stocking. Those hung in the classroom until the holidays and made a nice, personalized decoration. They were happy to be able to take them home before our winter break.
We will be using the materials you so kindly donated to our classroom for many more projects! We are forever grateful!”

Funded Aug 20, 2019Thank you for your donation of the individual coat locker bookcase. This piece of furniture is used as a space to hang or store my students' backpacks and as a mailbox to send out letters to parents. Each student has a labeled shelf where homework and correspondence to parents is stored. The students also have an individual space to store their backpack and their jacket. At the end of the day the students each check their mailbox and collect their backpacks. This bookcase has organized our classroom nicely. Thank you again!”

Charge It Up
Funded Aug 20, 2019Thank you so much for your generous donation of two charging stations and headphones for my classroom. It is so wonderful that now my students have a place to store their iPads and headphones and the classroom looks so neat. The individual slots on the charging station helps keep the iPads handy and easy to plug in and charge.
My students are happy that they each have headphones and a neat and sturdy place to keep them. Before it was hard to keep the headphones untangled and they would often get lost. Now they are labeled and displayed on our charging station.”

Sensory Needs
Funded May 14, 2019My students have enjoyed using their swivel chairs and weighted blanket. The swivel chairs are bright, colorful and lightweight. My students use them all around the room since they are portable. It helps them by allowing them to move in their seats as they work. This helps them focus and complete their tasks. The weighted blanket is being used by my students in our "safe space" area. This area of our classroom is used when a student needs a small break. My students request to use this area and it helps them when they are feeling overwhelmed or just need some time to relax by themselves. The weighted blanket "hugs" them and gives them that sensory stimulation that they need.
My students never sat on swivel chairs, so it was a brand new experience for them. They responded positively to them right away. They commented on how they liked to rock from side to side and how much fun it was to sit on them. They often request to sit on them and they are available whenever they ask to use them.
I am sending a heartfelt thanks from me and my students. We really appreciate the generous donation that you have made to our classroom.”

Funded Feb 11, 2019Again we truly appreciate all the donations you have made to my wonderful classroom. The materials in this project will be used for cooking recipes. My students love recipe day. They enjoy sharing ingredients and creating wonderful treats that they can taste and eat. These materials have really facilitated and opened possibilities. The very week that we got our oven we made sugar cookies. The students got to pick a shape and create cookies with their own hands. We then cooked them and in no time, got to eat our freshly made treats.
Thank you so much from me and my very happy students!”

Chromebooks for Learning
Funded Jan 29, 2019We are so thankful for these two new chrome books. They have made it easier to manage small groups in the classroom. The students use the chrome books to complete required assignments on Teachtown, Iready and Reflexmath on a daily basis. The students are on a rotation basis and they know what time they are assigned to one and they love it. They are also used as a listening station where the students listen to stories being read to them.
My students love these chrome books. When I opened the boxes they were so excited to see them. We like how small and compact they are. They are easy to carry around the classroom. They are also touchscreen and can be used as a tablet.
The possibilities and uses of the chrome books in our classroom is endless. We want to say thank you from the bottom of our heart.”

Funded Jan 29, 2019We are extremely grateful and honored to have received this donation and to have our project fully funded. We opened our boxes immediately and were so overwhelmed. We are so thankful that we can get our students lunches heated in the classroom and not have to walk all the way to the cafeteria to get that done. We can also store the students lunches in the classroom refrigerator to keep them cool. The refrigerator and microwave will also be used to store our ingredients and cook some of our monthly recipes. The griddle and skillet will also be used to took our delicious recipes.
Again, we want to say thank you and your donation is greatly appreciated.”
