Cozy Classroom
Funded Aug 7, 2022Thank you so much for your generous support! It means so much to my students and I. When our materialism arrived, my students were so excited!
My students still get excited to see the highlighted books in the shelves in the front of our class. They can't wait to read the books up there. They also love using their mailboxes. Not only does it keep their papers organized, but it also saves precious time, which is so vital in teaching.
My students are such hard workers. They have all earned our PBIS fun day that's coming up in December. We're all looking forward to making amazing memories together. Thank you again!”

Flashlight Fridays
Funded May 4, 2022Thank you so much for your generous donation. My students were so excited every time a new pillow arrived to our classroom. They love being able to read with the pillows and get comfy when they're reading.
When I first introduced the flashlights to my students, you could feel the excitement in the air. We went over how to use the flashlight properly and that we only shine them on the book their reading. The first time we used them, they asked to have even more lights turned off for our flashlight reading. They wanted it as dark as possible in our class.
It's amazing to see my 2nd graders develop into readers, and you played an important role in that. I want my students to know how fun reading can be. Using the comfy pillows and flashlights have given them a huge step in that direction.”

This classroom project was brought to life by SONIC Drive-In and 2 other donors.Cozy Book Nook
Funded Aug 19, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. When the rug and bookcase arrived, my students acted like it was their birthdays. They were so excited. My students helped open up the rug and unroll it. They also love getting books from the bookcase.
My students love grabbing one of our "stuffies" and reading books on the rug. They also love going over to our cozy book nook area to work on other projects. We recently created collages to show our favorite places. My students definitely utilized that area to complete those.
Again, thank you so much. My students and I are very appreciative.”

Successful School Start Desired
Funded Aug 24, 2017Thank you so much for donating to my classroom. My students were so excited when they walked in on the very first day of school and saw their very own pencil boxes full of supplies. It made the transition into the new school year so much easier for them. They felt so important to have all these materials that were just for them.
My students use their pencil boxes, pencils, crayons, and erasers daily. Their glue sticks are also used frequently. Their journals are a place they love to write their thoughts, and markers are their favorite things to use. My students are very creative and love using their tools to make detailed pictures.
Recently, we were investigating pumpkins, which took a lot of hands on learning. We predicted if they would sink or float, and used our crayons to make a graph comparing the number of students who made each prediction. We also measured, counted the rings, and predicted and counted the seeds. In math, we're studying place value. We made skeletons out of cotton swabs, counted how many we used to make them, then broke those numbers down into tens and ones. We are reading many books and using our journals to make text connections. Thank you for playing such a wonderful role in these learning experiences.”

Engaging Cozy Book Nook!
Funded Sep 15, 2016Dear Donors,
Thank you so much for your incredible generosity! Our new rug arrived when my students were at gym class. I set it up right away. As soon as they returned to the classroom and saw it, they screamed and immediately sat on it. The book case arrived a couple days before that. They have been enjoying picking books from that book case ever since.
Every morning, when my students arrive, they select a book from the book case. Many of them share books together on the rug. They are enthusiastic about the stories we are reading in class. Several of my students enjoy being leaders and switching out our theme books when it's time to do so.
Most recently, we've been studying pumpkins. We have had lots of pumpkin stories to choose from when reading. We also wrote pumpkin stories and became pumpkin investigators, performing different scientific experiments. Thank you again for your assistance in encouraging my students with their learning.”
