Teachers and our school Speech Language Pathologist will collaborate to teach kids about letter sounds. This helps ALL kids (students learning English, kids with disabilities, kids who are beginning in their reading skills, kids who are more advanced in their reading skills, etc.). These will be used in many classrooms, for large-group and small-group instruction. (Example 1: Everyone look in your mirrors and see which speech helpers you are using to make the "L" sound. That's right! Your tongue goes up behind your teeth!" Example 2: You spelled W-A-T. The word is "RAT." Let's see what our mouth does when we make the "R" sound. See how I'm using my tongue instead of my lips? Let's make those sounds together.")
