• Color Our World

  Funded Sep 30, 2019

  The access this funding has provided for my students has been. Outstanding. My. Students are able to see pictures of themselves in color and get to recognize themselves. We have been able to use images of our surrounding community to use in discussions and dramatic play and the enthusiasm it creates is incredible. We have been able to utilize a communication program that has given each child a voice and we have seen vast improvements in self esteem and overall communication in the classroom. Your funding has opened new doors for us and I am so greatf to see these changes.”

• Imaginative Play

  Our classroom has been full of fun and imagination this year, and that is because of YOU! We were able to use the new materials with a new curriculum we are piloting and we are loving the impact it has on our days! There is no way to fully thank you but we want you to know how much we appreciate it. Our grocery store has sparked joy in students from ages 3-8 and we have students begging to come to our room. We have kids who have spoken their first unprompted words jut from excitement to play. We get top enjoy outdoors with our easel and floating letters and numbers! Seeing joy on the faces of my students while they learn is the greatest gift and I thank you so very much!

• Getting Our Wiggles Out

  Funded Aug 8, 2017

  Our student's love for being outside has been ignited thanks to you. Going to the playground is the highlight of our day! The social interactions that have been able to happen has helped friendships blossom and happiness seen. He behavior in the classroom has also improved due to our kids being able to get a break from learning and just be a kid! Our students have also been able to share the outdoor supplies with peers and have got to meet other students in the school. Your impact has been incredible and we are so thankful!”

• Teaching with Tech

  Funded Jul 17, 2017

  With the items that we have received from this project, we have been able to have fun and interactive lessons as a whole class. When using pictures and videos to present new vocabulary and topics, the whole class is able to see the presented knowledge at one time and it allows for more conversation and less wasted teachable moments. Not only are these items great from a teaching standpoint but it grabs the interest of the students which increases what they are taking in from our lessons. The ability to print things for our kids is wonderful because it has allowed kids to create their own things as well as teachers to create needed materials for differentiating ability levels. Your donations have meant so much to us and we are forever grateful!”

• Expressing Ourselves Through Art

  My students were so excited to start the year off with such an amazing classroom. We were able to start the year with a fully stocked art center and it has been a hit. I have been able to provide services to my students in a fun and creative way and they are thoroughly enjoying it. My students have been able to express themselves through art when it is not possible to do it verbally. Our classroom is not only beautiful and inviting but it allows for exploration and use of imaginations. Thank you so much for providing this opportunity for us and letting us open their eyes to the beautiful world of art exploration!”

• Signing Our Way to Success

  Funded Sep 8, 2016

  We have started watching the videos on Friday. When we talk about the day of the week and we talk about that day being Friday, my students light up and tell me that means we get to watch Signing Time. I have seen my kids grasp signs so quickly and then using it in real world applications. I am so happy to see them enjoy something that is so good for them. The best part about the programs is that the themes of the videos coincide with the themes in our curriculum so they are able to use it as an extension projects to increase practical use of their new vocabulary. Seeing my kids light up over something so great is amazing.
