I am a passionate secondary Literacy teacher leader who inspires struggling readers and writers in urban Atlanta. My role is to teach students how to read and analyze texts on grade level as well as to feel comfortable writing proficiently. Because most of my students unfortunately read and write on below grade level, I take every opportunity to expose them to books, programs and topics that support them with raising their reading and writing fluency to one that is competitive with other students their age. Not only do I have a 21st Century Classroom, I am developing a comprehensive online Writing program online, that is an awesome system affording students the opportunity to read, answer text dependent questions and write so that I can provide meaningful feedback online.
