  • Can I Borrow a Pencil, Please?!

    Funded Jul 22, 2015

Thank you so much for the pencils you donated. They lasted forever and made it so that small luxuries like supplies never became an obstacle for student learning. When kids come to class unprepared, they are often upset and embarrassed and shut down easily. It has been such a huge deposit with kids to be able to keep not having a pencil a small issue that we can quickly resolve. It has also lifted the financial burden of providing this resource for 100 students off of teachers. I truly appreciate your support of my classroom and hope that you'll continue to support teachers in need!”

    With gratitude,

  • Lab Safety SOS! Help Us with Lab Coats!

    Funded Oct 18, 2013

Thank you so much for donating lab aprons to my classroom. Lab aprons not only help keep my students clean and safe, they also add excitement to any experiment. My students feel like legitimate scientists when they get to wear them during a lab. I remember the first time I put them on my students and how serious they got about the work they were doing. Many of them begged to keep them or didn't want to take them off! The best part about your generous donation is that students will get to use them for years to come!”

  • White Board Marker Madness, Round 2!

    Funded Oct 30, 2013

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. Whiteboard markers are integral to making practice engaging in my classroom. We often use sheet protectors as white boards and the markers that you donated to practice and reinforce skills that we've learned. Not having to worry about having enough for each student for the year was amazing. I hope the pictures give you a glimpse of how much my kids love showing what they know when they get to do it with their whiteboard markers! Thank you!”

  • Whiteboard Marker Madness!

    Funded Oct 2, 2010

Thank you so much for donating to my students! I am so grateful that you have decided to contribute essential resources to my classroom. The whiteboard markers you have donated will increase student engagement and student learning, by increasing student involvement during lessons.

I work at a school with very limited resources. Providing whiteboard markers for every student is a financial challenge. However, your support has ensured that the lack of resources in my classroom will not become an obstacle for my students' academic success. I can't thank you enough for your donation!”

  • Who Eats Whom? Owl Pellet Dissection!!

    Funded Oct 24, 2010

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my students! I am so grateful that you have taken an interest in increasing learning opportunities for my students. The owl pellets you generously donated have increased my students knowledge of the roles animals play in their ecosystems. This wonderful resource has also increased my students' understanding of animal relationships.

When my students think of science class, they think of the opportunity to dissect and experience hands-on learning. Giving them the opportunity to dissect has been an unforgettable learning experience that my students will never forget. Thanks to you, my students will have access to the resources that I couldn't afford and that they undeniably deserve. ”

    With gratitude,

  • Calculators Please!

    Funded Oct 10, 2009

I cannot thank you enough for your generous donation to my students. The calculators you have provided have helped my students, not only in science but also in their math class. They have helped my students efficiently calculate equations for acceleration, force, speed and velocity among other functions. They also allow my students to succeed in math, as the math teacher and I share the wonderful calculators you have provided.

Our school is a small charter that is in its first year of existence. We have very few resources and most of our students would not have the financial means to provide their own calculators. Thanks to your donation, my students this year and for years to come will be able to reach their highest potential.

Without generous donors like you, schools across the country with limited resources would be unable to provide their students with the quality education they deserve.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Valdivia

I want to give my students the resources to reach their highest potential! I teach sixth and seventh grade science and social studies at an under served, high need community in Louisiana. I teach at a charter school whose aim is to create emerging leaders out of our students. Our school days are rigorous. We are on an extended day and an extended school year because we are committed to our students. Our students are brilliant and they deserve the resources to prove it.
