  • Class Room Supplies

    Funded Oct 10, 2023

I wanted to update you on the incredible impact your generous donations have had on our students, particularly in the realm of technology. The new resources you've provided have significantly enhanced the learning experience for everyone in the classroom.

The introduction of technology has transformed the way our students engage with educational content. Interactive tools, software applications, and multimedia resources have made lessons more dynamic and tailored to individual learning styles. Students now have the opportunity to explore concepts in a more hands-on and immersive manner, fostering a deeper understanding of the material.

One of the most exciting aspects for our students is the incorporation of a cutting-edge product that allows for interactive learning simulations. This product has sparked genuine enthusiasm and curiosity among the students. The interactive nature of the simulations not only makes learning more enjoyable but also encourages active participation and critical thinking.

Remarkably, we've observed that certain students have especially warmed to this new technology. These are often students who may have initially struggled with traditional teaching methods but have found a renewed sense of engagement through the interactive features of the technology. It's heartening to see them embrace learning with newfound confidence and excitement.

Your support has truly opened doors to a realm of possibilities for our students. The positive impact of this technology extends beyond the classroom, influencing their approach to learning and preparing them for the tech-driven world ahead. We are immensely grateful for your contribution and the lasting effects it has on the education and growth of our students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Moore

  • Let Go My Legos!

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

Thank you so much for contributing Legos to my classroom. When I started this year, I started in a Kindergarten classroom. As a 3rd grade teacher, my students did not have Legos or other manipulatives that were at their level of rigor. In addition, I noticed that many of my students craved more STEAM opportunities.

In my classroom, It is important to have STEM opportunities that are reflective of my student's culture and background because we explore many aspects of our identities throughout the year.

All my students have enjoyed picking up Legos and finding some new challenges that they can take on that day.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Moore

  • We Need Diverse Books!

    Funded Sep 5, 2021

Thank you so much for contributing books to my classroom. When I started this year, I started in a Kindergarten classroom. As a 3rd grade teacher, my students did not have books that were at their level of rigor. In addition, I noticed that many of these books did not reflect the demographic of my students.

In my classroom, It is important to have books that are reflective of my student's culture and background because we explore many aspects of our identities throughout the year.

All my students have enjoyed picking up books and finding someone on the cover that looks like them. Or finding a graphic novel that reflects a similar experience that they have had.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Moore

This year it is my goal to make sure that I am providing an opportunity for students to be exposed to books written about and by people of color and other marginalized communities. At the end of the year, I want my students to proudly be able to give me 10 names and think about the impact that was made, or how reading about them has benefitted them. Every year, I always ask my students to name 10 people from a specific marginalized community (Women, Latinx, African Americans, LBGTQ+, Ability, etc.) that has made a positive impact in our country but they always struggle to get past 3 or 5 names. More often than not they are the same names that we always hear like MLK, Rosa Parks, RBG, etc. My students deserve to see their culture and community represented in our classroom library.
