Orchestra Instruments for Strings I
Funded Jul 31, 2017Thank you for your donation!! Your donation goes a long way to helping secure an instrument for student who would not necessarily be able to afford an instrument and possibly would not have joined orchestra class. In this age of budget cuts, your donation has help to keep music in the schools and continue to help me to pass down my passion of music to next generation of musicians. Once again Thank you very much for everything you do to support music and the Arts!!!”

Mr. Kennedy

The students featured in this picture are members of the Southeast Clarinet Quartet featured are Alexis Cueto, Rosa Valdez, Alexis Morgan, and Angelo Marquez and two percussion students Miguel Rojas and De'Angelo Chandler. Before your donation students were playing on instruments that were not in very good playing condition but now these students are able to play on high quality mouthpieces for clarinets and has improved there playing tremendously.
The Southeast Clarinet Quartet were super excited on receiving there mouthpieces and because of these mouthpieces were awarded with a Superior Rating at District and State Contest. These students played at all football games, District Contest, Spring Concert, and with Concert Band that performed at the Southeast High School Commencement Ceremony.
The next steps for these students is that they have decided to enroll in Concert Band for the next year. These students would not have been able to receive all these accolades without these mouthpieces used to perform on. These students are able to enjoy there High School music experience due to the donations from everyone on Donors Choose. Thank you donors for all you have done for the Southeast High School Band Program!! Your donation helps bring a lot of my dreams and ambitions for my program true!! Once again Thank You!!!”
