The materials that I have chosen for my classroom are books that I know my students will enjoy. During reader's workshop, I want my students to be engage in their books and learn to love reading. I believe if they have a high interest book in their hands, they will be able to apply all the strategies I am teaching them with their book. When students are engage they are learning. I think having access to books is so important in a classroom. I want my students to be able to read the latest book. I want my students to have connections with these books and apply what the author is trying to teach them. I want my students to love learning.
