These materials will help make a huge difference in the classroom! From helping during guided lessons and allowing for new experiences to providing extras for ones we are doing now, this list covers all the basics. Technology in the classroom is something that has become a necessity. Currently, the smartboard that is in ours does not work. In fact, no one knows the last time it actually did operate! So what I believe would be helpful for both classroom learning (and if we must go virtual again) would be the document camera paired with the projector for in-class learning. My students currently have to squint to see my examples and to watch when we are doing guided drawings. These two items alone would help students feel more comfortable with what they're doing as well as speed up the lessons since I wouldn't have to be taking guided drawings off the board and to each table. The other big purchase, the Crayola Air Dry Clay, would provide such a great experience for my students. They have worked with Model Magic before, but I would love to give them an experience of using real clay! They will enjoy the push and pull, the texture, and the forgiveness of real (somewhat) clay. The other items are more or less extras in the event they are needed for lessons. I currently share 20 brushes between all of my students and would love to have more available in case one (gasp!) breaks.
