  • Extending My Reach!

    Funded Apr 27, 2023

Thank you so much for all of your generous donations. The extra monitor has been so helpful in so many ways. I am able to be more efficient with looking at student data, planning fun and engaging lesson, and reaching more students at once. Using technology in math is so important but having students navigate many pages at once can be confusing. By having this dual screen, I can quickly send more students to the right webpages by having two tabs opened at once. This will definitely continue to help my students in math and impact their future. We truly appreciate all of your donations!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bailey

  • Going Virtual Formative Style

    Funded Nov 2, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donations. My students have been using the Go Formative program to complete their classwork and formative assessments each day. My students are now able to complete their math work by drawing pictures, writing, and using many other features that other programs do not offer, especially for virtual instruction. This program also gives me the ability to share specific feedback based on the work they submit. Then my students can make improvements and this has been so helpful for them in math class. The other feature that this program has that has benefited my students is the ability to use audio in questions and in feedback, which has helped my ESOL students make progress towards their math goals. Without your donations all of these successes this year would not have been possible!

One of my favorite moments was when I introduced this program so many more students began to work on their classwork and exit tickets since they could now show their work. They loved writing on the computer screen and being able to finally show their thinking on how they solved specific math problems. The other feature that my students still talk about is being able to resubmit their work after I give feedback to show that they have mastered the skill after supports were given. This has made virtual learning a little bit easier for all of us!

The most exciting part of this program is being able to teach certain math skills that are almost impossible to teach and practice virtually such as plotting points on a coordinate plane and making interval on number lines. I am excited to have my students write on the screen and to be able to see their thinking without the frustrations of virtual learning getting in the way.

Once again thank you so much for your generous donations and helping me help my students during this unprecedented time.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bailey

  • Supplies for Success!

    Funded May 8, 2019

Thank you so much for all your generous donations. My students were excited to have new supplies to use. My students quickly saw the shipping boxes in my classroom and were excited to open them to see the supplies that they needed to finish 6th grade on a positive note. My students immediately asked for new pencils to use, and were excited to use their brand new dry erase markers for the end of the year review activities.

The other classroom supplies continue to help keep a clean and healthy classroom. The lysol wipes, tissues, and sanitizer were used immediately and will be used throughout the end of the year.

Thanks again for your generous donations in helping my classroom continue to be successful and have the supplies needed to continue to learn!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bailey

  • Back to School Basics

    Funded Jul 26, 2018

Thank you so much for your generous donations. My students were very excited to start the year having the all the "back to school basics" they need in order to be successful. Many of my students came into school on day 1 with little to no supplies. By having these supplies in hand I was able to start each student off and ready to work hard in math class this year.

My students were very thankful and appreciative to use these donated supplies. My classroom has all of these supplies labeled and ready for students to use. After going through my rules and procedures my students have already asked to used paper, notebooks, pencils, and colored pencils to complete their classwork. The storage bins have been perfect to keep all these materials organized so students can quickly and easily access these materials.

I look forward to a productive year with my students and will use these materials every day for classwork, centers/small groups, and projects. I also look forward to having a very organized and clean room with the rest of the supplies (tissues and wipes) that were graciously donated.

Thank you again for all your donations and help making my classroom a perfect place for my students to learn.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bailey

  • Mathematicians Need Materials

    Funded Aug 14, 2017

Thank you so much for your generous donations. My students were very excited to start the year off with all of the materials they need to succeed. Each student was able to have their own notebook, fact fluency folder, and dry erase markers to use for daily math practice. With all of these supplies my students are able to complete their work on their ability level. When my students feel successful they achieve so much!

When some of my students did not have supplies on their first day they seemed upset. Once I told them that we had enough supplies for each student that were generously donated they smiled and were very appreciative. Those students have worked extremely hard since that first day and continue to persevere each day in my math class.

I cannot wait to use the rest of the materials for real-world projects, fun activities, and center activities. I know my students will be very engaged and motivated to learn more when they have the right supplies to use.

I truly appreciate all of your donations and your thoughtfulness.”

    Mrs. Bailey

  • Daily Math Centers

    Funded Nov 13, 2015

Thank you so much for your generous donation towards our math centers! My students were so excited to see new games and activities that can help build their math skills. All of my students are showing excitement towards learning math and are working together to build their fluency.

My students were so excited to see so many new games and centers arrive in their classroom. They were thrilled to learn that these games were purchased for them to continue their education and become better learners and students.

I will continue to have my students work on building their fluency and then using the application centers to extend their thinking! Students will continue to use these center games as incentives to finishing their work, working on prerequisite skills, or practicing new skills on a daily basis.

I are so appreciative to have all of these resources in our classroom to use and I know my students will be become better mathematicians because of these activities.”

  • Diversity 4 iPad

    Funded May 2, 2013

Thank you so much for your donations to my second grade classroom. The iPad and cover have already impacted so many of my students learning experiences. My students are so excited to put their hands on this new technology and learn other ways to acquire knowledge.

All of my students love playing educational games, reading different stories, and using different apps individually or working together with their peers. I can already see a difference in my English Language Learners and their energy towards learning the English langauge by using the iPad.

Your generous donations are truly appreciated and I cannot thank you enough.”

    Mrs. Bailey

  • Math Centers = Success!

    Funded Dec 14, 2011

Thank you so much for your generous donations to my classroom. The math centers that you have donated to my first grade classroom are being utilized every day. My students love using their listening centers and hands on activities to help them learn and revisit previous first grade skills.

Every day my students ask if its time to go to centers because they are so excited to use our new materials. I have seen tremendous growth within my class when it comes to specific skills that are being reinforced with these new centers.

I know that you all had a choice of where you could have donated your money, but I am greatly honored that you chose my project. Thank you for helping my first grade classroom continue excel this year.

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bailey

  • Project Projector!

    Funded Apr 18, 2011

Thank you so much for all of your generosity and thoughtfulness. My class has greatly benefited from this projector every day. Now, on top of teaching rigorous and engaging lessons my students can benefit from Internet, You Tube, movies, and PowerPoint presentations.

All of my students faces lit up from the second they saw my computer and projector hooked up and ready to go. All they wanted to do was learn more and learn ways to navigate this new technology.

Without all of your help my students would not be exposed to this new technology. Thousands of students all across the country are so thankful that there are such generous people out there like yourselves.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bailey

  • Listen Up & Read

    Funded Nov 16, 2010

    Dear Donors,

I can't thank you enough for you generous donations for our listening center. My student's faces were priceless when I received these big boxes in my room and told them that we have received a listening center and new books on cd. Their excitement to use these centers is still as strong as it was from the first day. My 26 students utilize these listening centers every day and it has helped my struggling students want to read books and it has helped my stronger students become more engaged in rigorous books.

My wonderful first grade students would not have had the opportunity to choose from so many fun books and new ways to read without all of your help. You generosity in my classroom is greatly appreciated and my students thank you from the bottoms of their hearts.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bailey

My students are hard working, eager, and strong willed. My students live in the inner city of Baltimore and many are not exposed to reading every day. My students face daily obstacles and with your help can over come their odds and read on and above grade level by the end of this year. I know my students will gain an appreciation for reading after listening to great books on tape or cd. High expectations and success are the only options!
