Who doesn't love curling up with a good book, but it's not easy when your only choice is to sit on a hard plastic chair. My student's love to read. As part of our daily schedule, students must read independently for at least 30 minutes in my classroom every day. I would love to give them another spot to read that would be more comfortable to sit on besides at their table or on the hard floor. By providing beanbag chairs for the students, they will be more eager to read and comfortable while doing it. The beanbag chairs can also be used for students to do reader's theater while sitting on beanbags in a circle, while playing a game at the carpet, while partner reading, or for an extra incentive to sit on while we are gathered on the carpet for a group lesson.
