My students want to learn how to monitor their volume in the classroom themselves. This volume monitor will allow them to have a visual representation of what the volume in the classroom really is. For them, it could be hard to understand what a whisper volume is when there are 50 students in the room, and what a level 1 or normal speaking voice is. Many of my students come from a home environment where they feel that to get attention from someone you need to be the loudest person. This is volume monitor will help the students understand how loud they really are so they can be successful in the world outside of school.
