Thank you for helping our students and their families to experience an amazing family literacy night!

Sharing the love and joy of reading is an important part of our students becoming lifetime learners.

Because of your donation more of our students and families will be reading together.

    WE THANK YOU”

  • Learning Virtually Everywhere!

    Funded Dec 7, 2020

My students were so excited to receive the new seating!

Thanks to your generous donation of seating our story time has moved to a beautiful, and functional story time area. My little learners are seated comfortably seating and distanced safely. The seating has also helped reduce distractions, which has been helpful for everyone. After the kindergarteners have chosen their library book, they are eager to sit in the donated seats that are placed in various reading commons thru out the library. My little learners are reading their books much longer, and visiting the library more often.

Maybe the most exciting benefit for me as a teacher is the seating is supporting independent reading and learning!! My students sit comfortable often with a stuffed animal and independently sound out words, as they read. Choice seating is a part of the winning equation that has led to my students' increased reading stamina. Stamina is directly related to developing a love for reading. Because reading is at the heart of learning, please know your donation is having major impact for our students!

    Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lester

  • Listen and Learn

    Funded Aug 24, 2019

It is with great gratitude and appreciation that I write this letter to you. THANK YOU for your kindness and willingness to give towards listening ,learning, and reading in our classroom. With the listening center that was donated, we will be able to tap into further learning by using smaller groups to focus on differentiation among our students. Your donation allows our students to concentrate on their personal learning, which can be limited with a large class.

Again, thank you for your donation. Our children's faces will light up knowing they will have fun learning, at the touch of a few buttons and not be ashamed of where their own learning currently stands. Because of you, our students can have abundance in school, even though that may not be the case elsewhere.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lester

My classroom goal is simple. All of my kindergarten students will be readers by the end of this school year. In order to reach this goal, I give individualized instruction, meeting each student at his/her current academic level, learning style, and area of interest. This includes giving some students a video to watch, a tutorial, or an audio-book to listen to, while others may be receiving group instruction. In all these instances actually hearing and understanding the content is huge! The listening center will help my students focus on the individualized lessons they are receiving because they are able to phase out the distractions around them. A listening center will give my students a chance to clearly hear the content they are given. Clearer content, focused learning, and fewer distractions add up to successful steps toward reaching our goal of 100% literacy in June 2020. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
