Many of my students come to class only wanting to play basketball or double dutch. I am trying to incorporate a variety of activities into their classes to get them excited about PE class. Being active is so important. My hope is that these students take the activities we learn in class, and play outside at home. These materials will allow these students to play cooperative learning games, which will teach them to work together as a team to achieve a common goal. For example, the oversized beach balls will allow Kindergarten and 1st grade to use hand/eye coordination as well as working with their classmates to keep the ball in the air. The chicken sets will be used for relay races.
