My students enjoy working with new technology. They stay engaged in lessons and are motivated to learn more about a topic. My students love to explore and learn new things but are afraid of failure. All of my students have been retained at least once and failure is something they don't want to experience. Although the discussions about the topic has always been great, I can tell the students are still unsure. 3D printing will allow the students to expand their creativity and visualize the topic. 3D printing encourages the students to work together to problem solve. 3D printing allows the students to create story setting, fossils, organs, cells, 3D math equations, or models of any object to facilitate hands-on learning. Your donation will help increase student achievement, but it will also allow our students to gain another technological skill as they begin their high school career. A 3D printed object held in the hands of a student can bridge the gap between simple visual perception and three-dimensional spatial visualization, and thereby stimulate a paradigm shift. Something as simple as the act of rotating and observing a seven inch prototype can have a profound effect on a student. Having a 3D printer will empower my students to design, collaborate, and create amazing things they never thought possible.
