  • Engineering Designs Come To Life!

    Funded Jun 18, 2017

My students literally jumped for joy when I told them that we would be getting a 3D printer. I will be sharing this amazing piece of technology with all the students in grades 5-8 in my school. Your generosity will reach over 400 children this upcoming school year.

No words can express the amount of gratitude I have for you all.

    Thank you so much.”

    With gratitude,

    Teacher K.

  • The Amazing Cell!

    Funded Jan 11, 2017

The timing of the completion of this project could not have been more perfect. Just as we moved into our cell unit this amazing package arrived. I let one of my classes open the box with the animal cell model and they were so excited! Some of the kids could not believe that people they have never met cared enough to donate over $1100.00 of supplies to them!

I created different stations for each slide in the slide bundle that was included in the package. We spent a week moving through all 11 stations! The kids simply could not get enough! They though it was so cool that they were now seeing slides containing parts of the human body that we have just spent a month learning about.

As a teacher in a Title 1 school, I am deeply grateful for this package of supplies that we otherwise would never have had the funding for. It is so important for all children to have access to materials like this. Your donations towards my classroom is beyond generous. Thank you so much for your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Teacher K.

We do not have any slides for our cell biology unit. My students are all so excited to use microscopes, and having slide sets would greatly enrich their first encounter with them. The slide sets I am requesting are really cool. Students can totally relate to them because they are seeing what is inside of their own bodies. We are currently in the middle of our human body unit, and my students cannot get enough! I have to ask them many times to leave once class is over because they want to stay and keep working! These slides relate directly to what they are currently learning and will be a valuable asset in transitioning from our human body unit to our cell unit. The cell model will benefit all my students. However, this model is essential for my special education students to have in order to learn about the cell.
