Travel the World (Map)!

The students have loved building and using the LEGO World Map. Several students worked collectively to build the base for the LEGO World Map and enjoyed using their time to make this happen. It was a delight to see them working together to have fun and engage in a hands-on activity.

Since the base has been created, multiple students have used the LEGO World Map to show the spatial distribution of geographic topics. Recently, students used the map to include the spatial distribution of agricultural regions in their "farmer" presentations. On the black/white background, students used colored LEGO pegs to show where to find these agricultural regions.

During their presentations, they included a picture to show classmates where to find dairy agriculture, plantation agriculture, etc or their assigned type. The bright pegs stood out on the black/white background and were a great educational use of the LEGO set. Thank you so much for making this possible and for funding our classroom project!”
