Based on research, students have better memory and retention when movement is part of the curriculum. Instead of chairs they sit on balance balls. Stability ball classroom chairs provide benefits ranging from quieter classrooms to more attentive students. Fidgeting helps children with ADHD concentrate, and just a little movement on the stability balls can meet their demands for expelling excess energy. I will use the stability ball classroom chairs when working with my students during small group intervention. This will help students sit still and stay on task. This in the long run will benefit the students improving their academic performance.
