  • Help Make the UN Come Alive for Rockstar 7th Graders!

    Funded Nov 1, 2017

Thank you so much for your generosity, Model UN this December and again in june will be so much more realistic for these future diplomats.

I’m so thrilled that these students have the opportunity to learn to to debate in a peaceful and constructive way. YOU helped make that happen!

Thank you from all of us!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. P.

  • Mr. P's Paperless History

    Funded Jan 26, 2017

Thank you for your incredible support of my classroom and the dedicated students I have the honor to work with every day. The day after the 3 Chrome Books were received my kids were putting them to use researching in groups to complete a research project on current events. The Chrome Books made it so easy for them to view videos, listen to press conferences, and research articles that was not possible in the past. I look forward to adding even more technology to our classroom in the coming year. Again, thank you so much, from all of us!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. P.

My school was a chronically underperforming school in 2012 prior to being restarted by UP Education Network. In 2015, after filling to exit Level 4 (failing) status and move to Level 3 the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education honored my school by making us a Level 1 school. Our students showed some of the highest growth in the state in comparison to other middle school students, as well as vast extracurricular involvement. At my school the Social Studies department does not have textbooks, so all lessons and materials are teacher generated each day for more than 120 students in the 7th grade alone! Due to a shortage on tech equipment research is piece-mailed into what I can find and print for them in additions to the massive amounts of paper I go through in a single day. These Chromebooks would allow each student to log onto the internet to complete research, submit quizzes/tests online, watch videos to compliment their learning and receive real time feedback via Google Classroom on in class writing assignments. May school has become a fascinating place to be in the past three years, but it's time to go from good to great! These kids deserve to have the tools needed to take their learning to the next level as they explore the world around them.
