Mad Scientist
Funded Oct 24, 2018Dear DonorsChoose,
Thanks for funding projects in Florid affected by the Mad Scientist project. With your help my classroom runs smoother and more efficiently. Students were excited to begin a poster project and were excited to receive diagrams printed on yellow/pink/green sheets.
The students were ecstatic when it came to using the flipchart easel & new markers to learn new material. They learned to peer-teach topics like energy transfer using a pyramid, use poster paper to create immunity flower concept maps that were accessed for review throughout the school year by simply attaching them along the walls.
With your help, color-coded seats organized the student groups & lab stations which was used for things like exit tickets (mini quizzes) that reviewed content learned that class. Students created a binder portfolio of all work completed in class and used that as study material in Biology research-support classes.
Students will complete a cell model. For those in need of supplies they may use: class markers, paper labels for each part of the cell using color paper, class provided and craft materials. They will participate in a exam review lab practicum with Biology EOC questions posted all over the room. You have prepared my students for scoring high on the end-of-year exam.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Davis
