  • Calming Books and Area in Kindergarten

    Funded May 14, 2024

Thank you for you generous donation. My students are loving their calm corner. Whenever they feel overwhelmed or are struggling to stay calm they choose a book and go to the calm area. Here they can use the strategies posters and books to help them identify what they are feeling and what they can do to feel better. Once they feel that are calm they go back and join the group. This allows them to be ready for learning.

Having your emotions in check is crucial for learning. Children cannot learn when they do not feel well. Their bodies are in a fight or flight state that does not allow for anything else. That is why it is necessary to bring them back to a state of calm. Once again thank you.”

  • Calm in Kindergarten

    Funded May 23, 2024

Thank you for your generous donation! My students are so grateful that they have a space where they can go and relax. At the calming area they have visuals that help them validate what they are feeling and what can they do to relax. This not only impacts my students socioemotional state of mind but it helps them overall. My students can now go to the calming area and then return ready to learn. I have seen great improvement in those students needing extra support. Once again thank you for contributing to my students academic success.”

  • Kindergarten and First Grade Students Expanding Into Stem!

    Funded Aug 10, 2023

Reading time is a fun time! My students enjoy listening to stories and predicting what's going to happen. They also love to learn new things from informational text. We have been learning about The Three Little Pigs, The Three Billy Goats Gruff, and Goldilocks and the Three Bears. These books help them understand beginning, middle, and end. Also, characters , setting, problem and solution.

All theses books have helped my students learn more about the love for books. Our current unit on plants has my students excited. We have also learned about apples and pumpkins. They have been learning the lifecycles of these plants. As a teacher it brings great joy when your students ask for more learning.”

Thank you for your generous donation. My students have been learning and achieving their academic success thanks to you. They are learning how to read and improve their reading skills with the science of reading activities. They are also improving their math skills with all the activities that they are working on. My students enjoy learning and ask what new activities I have for them. When students enjoy learning their academic success increases. Thank you for being part of their educational journey. Once again thank you!”

  • Hands On Minds On Kindergarteners

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

The materials that they received has changed the learning dynamics in our classroom. We have all students participating in learning through hands-on activities. They always ask when are they going to work with their materials and centers. They are bummed when someone takes a particular game or activity or we do not have time that day.

All students in different levels engage with these hands-on materials. Whether they are challenging or enhancing their learning they participate. They have had a great impact on their academic learning.”

  • Hands-On Kindergarteners

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

Having the gift cards to purchase hands-on activities that the students can use has been amazing. I have seen such growth in my students academic learning. They are eager to learn because it engages them. They get to choose the activities that are at their level. This makes them feel as if they are in charge of their learning.

The hands-on materials that they received also helps them apply their learning. They like that they can manipulate them and they are colorful. All my students are excited.”

  • Kindergartners Reusing Materials

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

Having a laminator in our class have been game changing. Students ask for some of their projects to get laminated. They also ask for new games and remind me to laminate to protect them.

My students have been working really hard with the hands-on materials they received. They get excited and ask can we use our centers? These materials have helped their academic learning. I have seen an increase in their scores.

My students that are struggling are the ones that have had the most impact. Since they are playing games they are more willing to try rather than doing other activities.”

  • Becoming Readers at Home

    Funded Jan 1, 2021

Thank you for your generous donations! My students were excited when they each received their sight word rings. Whenever they had free time they would take them out to practice. They would also try and test each other to see who knew more words. They liked playing games, like find the word... During small groups I asked them to bring their rings and we would practice our words. This helped my students learn their sight words more easily since they had them in their hands. Having the rings enabled my students to really look at the word and practice it. They were able to put a finger in each letter as we practiced our words. Once again thank you for you helping my students learn to read.”

  • Kindergarten Digital Mathematicians

    Funded Feb 3, 2021

Thank you very much for your generous donations. My students were so excited when I first showed them the different math activities and lessons. They said, "Wow you got us cool games!". This helped keep them engaged virtually, which was really important. Trying to keep students engaged virtually is very challenging, especially Kindergarteners.

Thanks to your generous donations my students were able to become successful in math. Thank you for helping my students academic success. Without your help it would possible. Thank you!”

  • Digitally Connecting Learning At Home

    Funded Jul 14, 2020

Thank you very much for your generous donation. Thank you for helping my students on their road to academic success. My students are enjoying using their flashcards and little readers. This has helped them become more motivated in their learning. They were excited that they got to have these special tools that they could touch and see clearly. Sometimes, the students have only access to a phone screen and that is not very conducive to learning. Having those materials allows them to look at them and not strain their eyes with the screen. Once again thank you.”
