I am a 2nd grade teacher at WES - Where Everyone Shines. I like a well disciplined class that focuses on positive behavior. The way to achieve this is through rewarding students with great behavior instead of always focusing on the students who behave poorly. A way to award the students with positive behavior is by using Brag Tags. Brag Tags are a classroom incentive system that are used to encourage, promote, and celebrate positive behavior. Students may receive awards for good listening, putting forth great effort, doing homework, and honor roll. There are many, many more tags the students can achieve. These tags will be placed on a necklace that the students can wear throughout the school. They may have on their Brag Tag necklace when walking to the library and another teachers asks them about it. The students will enjoy telling others about what each tag stands for and how they got it. Your support will be greatly appreciated and help build the self esteem of students. In order to make these brag tags, I need various resources. I need card stock to print various types of brag tags. I will also use the ink cartridges in printing the tags. After they are printed, I will laminate them so they will last longer. I will store them in the divided storage box. When a student deserves one, then they will place one on their necklace. I can't wait for the students to get their first Brag Tag and see how much they SHINE!!!
