Lights, Camera, Action!
Funded Feb 21, 2022Lights, Camera, Action has been a hit in our Thinking and Tinkering Lab. At first students chose to experiment with building small scenes using Legos. Next they began researching Stop Motion videos and began taking pictures to create their own movies. They have also enjoyed experimenting with different lighting options. We are currently looking for creative ways to share finished projects.
It has been fascinating to observe students collaborating on projects and helping each other problem solve to obtain effects they have imagined. There is nothing like the beam of accomplishment when a goal is achieved.
Our lab is available to all students and it is particularly rewarding to see students who sometimes struggle with academics find success through paths such as this. Thank you for making this opportunity available to our students.”

Thinking and Tinkering with Keva Planks
Funded Nov 15, 2021The Keeva Planks are a HIT! We appreciate your support in making this wish a reality for our school. As anticipated, students at ALL grade levels gravitate to build with the planks in our Thinking and Tinkering Lab. It has been fascinating to see the creativity students demonstrate as they are constructing structures. Sometimes the structures are simple in nature and sometimes they are more complex. Recently our 3rd graders were learning about ancient civilizations. Several students researched the Parthenon and began recreating with Keeva Planks. How exciting to see them replicating historical structures.
Thank you again!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Ferguson
