My students tell me they don't like reading. I need current books to change their mind! The books I have in my classroom are dated, falling apart, and not really relevant to my students' interests. With new and current books, students might be more apt to reading, and develop the skills and confidence to read independently and on a regular basis. I need to get my students to develop a love of reading that is so important in a world of smart phones, technology, and video games. It is important they boost their reading skills to enhance their communication and verbal skills.
