This source allows me to bridge the gap between today's teens and current events, while doing so in an age-appropriate context! As of now, you have supplied my students with the only access they have during school for current events.     Thank you so much for your donation to my project! Our school library was removed and the space was turned into a science lab, leaving our students without access to reading material. Thanks to your donation, my classroom is now supplied with both Fiction and Non-Fiction selections for my students to enjoy! Last year, our school wide Reading Proficiency rate was only 34% among the 11th grade students who participated in the SAT exam at the end of the year. Without reading skills, all levels and types of workforce agencies will suffer, as future applicants will not be able to read safety manuals, complete applications, or other basic tasks which requires reading comprehension.”
