AHS has many students with a very low socioeconomic status. Our track program has a very low budget and we greatly need supplies for our track program. Over the past 2 seasons we have had two athletes receive Division I track scholarships and we have several others in the program who have aspirations to run in college. Track and Field (sports in general) is a great motivator for our students because it helps them keep good grades and good attendance in school. These supplies would greatly benefit our student-athletes and help them achieve their goals in high school and beyond.
