Leading students in directed drawing experiences is one of many ways they learn new techniques and style. Using "real" artist tools is one way to brighten and build on new skills. Students will be able to experiment with and master the use of new charcoal pencils. Drawing in a realistic manner is a stepping stone for new artists. We focus more on drawing and technical skills more in the MYP program. However all student will be able to experience these tools. Students skill and ability will improve year after year as the basics are revisited and improved on. Hearing students express pride in a drawing lead by myself, is a super awesome experience.
