My students live in a very low SES economy, most of them are from parents who are still learning the language. I do readers' theaters to help them enjoy the concept of reading and bringing arts into the Curriculum. The students do not have a lot of background knowledge to help them understand things. Doing readers theater creates a base for them to understand things in a very easy way. I am a reading interventionist teacher and they are just learning how to read. It is interesting to see them grow throughout the year.
