The students will gain knowledge first hand of the different throwing techniques on the potters wheel. They will produce 3-D works of art with a consideration for technical processes. The students will throw vases, bowls and pottery on the potters wheel. They will work on their techniques and perfect them.
They will demonstrate how art is not just created to be visually pleasing but functional as well.
This make them more competitive with other students at other schools. The students art/pottery will be displayed at local stores, businesses, contests and exhibits to bring a greater awareness to the arts in our community and our history of art. This will make learning fun for the students and keep them engaged in the learning process by providing the Montessori approach to learning.
