These materials will provide my students with independent learning activities and books. While some students work independently I can work on targeted math and phonics/ comprehension instruction. For my diverse group of kids, small group instruction and differentiation are key. I will use the phonics stations to target skills that different students are working on; what's great about these phonics games is that students can also use them independently while I work with strategy groups on other skills. The math folder games are excellent for the workshop model I use because students can work in pairs or independently. Finally, I need an 'Elephant and Piggy' collection and Spanish books so my classroom library has familiar characters and a diversity of languages!
