We Need Tech!
Funded Dec 24, 2020Prior to receiving this donation, many of our students were struggling with being able to listen to lessons and teaching videos because they did not have headphones. Additionally, when several of us are logged in to the teaching platform at the same time and we turn our microphones on, it creates a very disturbing echo. This meant students were struggling with participating and letting their voices be heard during class.
Well of that changed for us when we received the headphones! Each students is able to listen to his or her lesson or video and participate without creating any unwanted echoes.
You don't know how appreciate we are of your donation, it has really changed learning for us!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Guevara
Tech-Savvy Scholars
Funded Dec 27, 2019I wish you could have been there the moment the students found out we had received the iPads. They were so excited and could not believe they were for our classroom. Immediately they began asking me questions about how we were going to use them in the classroom.
I had already downloaded district approved applications onto the iPads and they were ready to go. Students were able to jump right into reading instruction using the program called I-Station. I noticed right away that the level of engagement towards that program sky-rocketed. Students were excited to get started right away and although they might feel like they are playing games, I am at ease knowing they are working on literacy instruction.
We have also began using them for research purposes. Students were given the opportunity to browse the internet in order to complete their biography research project. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for your donation towards our classroom. You have really made a huge difference in the way we use technology!”

This classroom project was brought to life by An anonymous classroom supporter and 12 other donors.Read-Aloud Rug
Funded Aug 31, 2019There are not enough words to describe my gratitude. Your gift has had such a tremendous impact on the environment of our classroom. The beauty about this gift is that not only do my current 60 students get to enjoy it, but it is a gift that will continue to give for years to come!
The day our rug arrived, I had a line of student volunteers at the door asking if they could help roll it out. They were so excited about it! I lost count on how many times I heard the word "wow" uttered in the classroom.
Once again, I take your donation very seriously. Thank you so much for spending your hard-earned money on us! We appreciate you so much!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Guevara
Partitions for Star Pupils
Funded Jan 17, 2018I wish you would have seen my students' faces when we opened the boxes from Lakeshore. We were so excited to finally have enough partitions for all of us! We had been using partitions made from laminated manila folders but unfortunately theres were not sturdy or big enough.
We labeled the partitions and every student took ownership of their own. So far, they have done an amazing job at taking care of them since I explained that they were a donation to our classroom.
Students look for these on their own when they want to work independently. They know where they are stored and always do their best to keep them tidy. We could not have done this without you!”

Ms. Guevara
This classroom project was brought to life by The Rebuild Texas Fund and one other donor.Supplies After Harvey
Funded Oct 2, 2017My students and I would like to thank you for your generosity. We are using every single item that was sent to our classroom with so much enthusiasm.
Your generosity has allowed us to become proficient data trackers. Our binders have allowed us to become more organized and we have come up with some very creative ways to track our progress throughout the semester. We have set goals for ourselves and for our classroom with the help of these binders. Together, we continue to strive for success.
Additionally, we have enjoyed creating anchor charts that serve as visual aids to reminds us of concepts we have previously learned. We have also enjoyed all of the colorful stations that allow us to practice key skills.”

Ms. Guevara
