Small Group Success
Funded Sep 11, 2024Thank you ever so much for these goodies! We're excited to get into small group learning next week. I've just finished up our assessments, and now that I know the extra support and challenges the students need, I can't wait to start teaching using these resources. An extra debt of gratitude for the back and time saver of the cart for the mats because we can also turn the side into a learning station with some zip ties and felt board. Your small or large donation makes the world of difference to us and we thank you for your support.”

Chime In the New Year
Funded Aug 30, 2022We are LOVING the chimes! We've been able to use them in so many different ways. My weekly chimes groups on Mondays and Wednesdays have grown such that 20 kids after school every week are getting to play chimes. They love them so much that we often play longer than our allotted 45 minutes, and have most recently gone to an hour most days we are together.
The students were overwhelmed by your generosity. When they heard how much the chimes cost, and that my friends had all given money so that we could get them they really couldn't believe it! They are so grateful for all of you.
One of the best parts of this program is that we are able to integrate students with significant special needs. It's been awesome to watch the typical students help support them by playing the same note next to them, and to see them cheer their friends on. They love the mighty noise that we make in afterschool and are always eager to get to the chimes after bucket drumming!
Thank you again!”

Funded May 5, 2022We have so enjoyed the new representative texts in the classroom. We are using many during our "All About Me" and "Families and Communities" modules. The kids love to point out how "That girl looks like my friend _____" or "I do that with my mommy too"! These books are getting a lot of love and use and we can't wait to read all of the Little Spot books when we start talking more about feelings. The colors and pictures are engaging and bright-and they're a big upgrade from the dull books and cards we had in our old program.
We are especially grateful for the new EGG SHAKERS! They LOVE music class, and the egg shakers are in hot demand. Students ask daily if it's an egg shaker day. We love to use them with freeze dance, finding a steady beat, and helping us move our bodies to get most of our energy out before lunch and nap.”

Funded May 2, 2022We are loving all of the new supplies in the classroom. The book nook has been a big hit for students as a cozy place to snuggle up with a stuffed animal and a book. The rug is so soft and provides a great place for circle time activities. The new manipulatives are so wonderful for extending our learning during the modules-the community helper figures are out now and we are really enjoying them in the block area as we build different parts of our city. Thank you so much for your support of the classroom, we all appreciate it!”

Funded Oct 15, 2016We have loved having the technology we need to explore our math program in depth! The students are able to play the math games that help them practice the skills they are learning daily in class, and the ability to have more than one student practice at a time is also helping to make sure everyone gets an opportunity to use this every week. The practice gives them feedback just like they would get from a teacher, so it also lightens my load and spreads my impact around. Thank you so much for your support of our classroom :)”

Help All of My Students Succeed!
Funded Aug 13, 2019I cannot express how much I appreciate you donating resources to help my students have a great first learning experience. We have extremely limited funding at the school level and it would have taken me years of budgeted funds to acquire all of these materials. We appreciate all you have done!”

Funded Sep 3, 2016It is hard to put into words the impact these iPads have had on the lives of my students. As I hoped, they have been very motivating, and have helped these students access curriculum. I am using them in one of my math pullout groupings, and these two students who have struggled all year with math concepts are finally making progress. We're using a Make 10 app where students need to identify the matching partner number that makes a sum of 10. This app tracks their fluency with this task. My students started with base scores of 40 and 90 respectively. Yesterday, their high scores were 450 and 1,300. For my student who has struggled to identify even the letters in her own name to be able to rapidly and accurately identify partners of 10(which is the base of the math program we use) as well as the numerals-this is life changing. She is PROUD. I am PROUD. Mom is overjoyed. For other students, I'm able to create and assign activities through Boardmaker for them to complete and I can track data to see progress. We're using language apps to improve question comprehension. These have been amazing additions to my programming, and I'm so excited to keep learning and growing in my ability to provide technology based interventions to improve outcomes for students! THANK YOU!”
