Hi! I'm ILona Hagen and I appreciate you looking at my teacher page. Thank you for your consideration. I am a 6th grade teacher of English and Language Arts. Our school is 100% free and reduced lunch with a high transient population. Our 6th grade is still in the elementary school and to me, that's a good thing. We have a very diverse population of scholars, but ALL of them can be successful. We are a model school for collaboration and student led learning. Our scholars are often in partners or groups on the floor working together or reading independently. I mean, who wants to read at their desk in a hard chair when you can be on the floor with a pillow or beanbag. That's what my project is all about. Comfy Collaboration among my scholars which will turn into high achieving students.
