Claymation is second to none for engaging students in the curriculum and bringing creativity and exploration to the classroom. It is easily modified to meet the needs of a variety of curriculum topics, and is perfect for hands-on learners and new technology users. The claymation process helps students build essential thinking and communication skills and provides a fun and relevant way for students to demonstrate their knowledge and abilities. Claymation is any animation done using a character, or characters, created out of clay. Traditionally, claymation has been associated with the time-consuming techniques of stop-motion video, but with the advent of affordable computers, digital cameras, and easy-to-use software like Frames claymation is accessible to almost every classroom. We need lots of clay to make these activities come to life.
