Read All About It!
Funded Dec 7, 2023My students were so excited to see that we were given a subscription to scholastic news. My students love to learn about current events.
While reading scholastic news my students are able to learn much needed reading skills such as cause and effect, problem and solution, main idea and details, and the literary elements.
My EL students are opened up to a whole other world and are very interested in learning new things through the pictures and stories in their scholastic news magazines. Thank you so much for opening them up to this opportunity to learn new things and explore the world.”

Funded May 24, 2023Thank you for donating to our class. With the donations of white boards my ENL learners are able to see me model for them and help them get their thought process flowing.
My students are able to see what I wrote and use my ideas to help them get started on their writing. The mini white boards are also used during math time to help me assess how much they have learned. The children love being hands in in their learning, they love being able to use their dry erase boards and markers to answer the questions given in class, they like how we use the mini white boards almost like a game to assess what they know!
Thank you again!”

Informal Assessment
Funded Sep 29, 2022We thank you for your support. The materials have been so useful in teaching math concepts to my ENL students. The use of the magnetic grid and dry erase boards have helped the students use visuals to learn math concepts. I also plan on using the dry erase boards with vocabulary review and the pencil sharpener is a life saver. As my students are always sharpening through out the day! The students love to be able to share their answers with me, by holding up their white boards and only showing me for a quick assessment, the white boards also keep the children engaged in my lessons. The students can not thank you enough.”

Mrs. Greco
