Students will be immersed in a mathematics classroom full of posters that highlight the importance of mathematics and motivation to pursue it. The CCSS algebra and geometry warm-ups and activities will contribute to my students' deeper understanding of mathematics. My students will showcase to their schoolmates what they've learned in math class using a variety of creative art projects. Art is a great way to showcase fundamental mathematics concepts. My geometry students will demonstrate their geometry knowledge using tessellations. My algebra students will display their algebra knowledge by using piece-wise functions to create images. The class set of compasses will play an important role in my students' abilities to create the images they need in their art related projects.
