Centers for 2C
Funded Oct 16, 2017In order to learn at such a young age, students need to be active and engaged. Before these awesome centers came, we were limited on what we could do as far as staying engaged. Luckily, the grab and match, power pens, and pop up games have been more than helpful in keeping my students engaged. They absolutely love all of the different opportunities to learn their basic skills in reading with their peers or independently. I can even use the power pens and grab and matches during small group to help my them learn about adjectives or the main idea of a short passage.”

Math and Social Studies Centers
Funded Oct 23, 2017Thank you so much for donating our project! My students were very excited to see all of the new centers come in along with being very curious. When I told them what type of centers they were, they all got excited. It's not everyday when you get centers specifically for Social Studies but it has become very helpful. My class has really enjoyed using the puzzles and match ups because they have some extra freedom to learn at their own pace during stations. These centers are so influential since they are hands on material that my students can have fun learning with. We greatly appreciate your efforts in making 2C a fun place to learn.”

Funded Oct 9, 2017I teach at a small community school where materials and resources are limited. My students were ecstatic when all of our new classroom supplies came in. At first, they were not sure what to expect because I told them it was a surprise but as soon as I opened those boxes their expressions were priceless.
We are currently using the headphones for our computer center where the students can get on our Chromebooks and engage themselves on educational sites. We also use the headphones for our listening center where they can listen to books. The sleeves have been a huge hit for my students. We use them for all of our centers and the kids love them because they can take them anywhere!”

Funded Oct 3, 2017Technology has become a major impact in public schools. We use it for everything throughout the day. We use our Chromebooks during center time where my students can play educational games, they go to Computer class during Specials where they learn the basics about computers, or for subject areas like Social Studies so they can research historical figures.
Chromebooks are essential in my classroom because they are versatile. My students can take them to their desks at anytime during the day. I also like the fact that their programs are a lot faster than the outdated "Dinosaur" Computers. Overall, my students enjoy having our Chromebooks in the classroom because it is gives them opportunities to express themselves through technology.”

Funded Dec 29, 2016Technology has become a major learning tool in education today. With these Chromebooks, my students are able to research facts and complete group projects. They can also AR test over their library books, play fun educational games, Imagine Learning and Xtra Math.
My students are excited about this product because they get to learn in a new way. We do a lot of hands on activities throughout the year but having the option to use technology while learning makes all the difference too. Also, just like iPads, these Chromebooks are portable and have wireless connection which means we can take learning where ever we go.
Most of my students have warmed up to the idea of having technology that is ready to use throughout the day. It's easy to work with and it give us the ability to expand our learning. Technology makes learning fun!”

Funded Oct 24, 2016I can't express enough how grateful we are to get new supplies for our classroom. Being in a small school means that we must supply what we can for our students. By funding my project, you have given me the opportunity to give my students new materials to increase their learning.
My students are able to use the new easel for centers such as reading big books, word work, and math activities. We also use our easel to create anchor charts which gives them the opportunity for classroom discussions. It is a very interactive piece in my classroom and we really enjoy using it. The ink for my classroom printer has given me the opportunity to print out new and colorful centers for my students to use during small group instruction. We have even created place mats for Thanksgiving and letters to Santa.
Overall, my students are absolutely loving the new supplies we have received. We are on our way to becoming more actively engaged in learning!”
