• Lunar New Year Sauces

  The food and red envelops not only helped to supplement and enrich our cultural lessons but also inspired our young artists in ideas and their interests in synthesizing new information to make meaningful personal connections .

  PK-5th students became more immersed in Lunar New Year traditions and zodiac animals as well as partook in class performances to showcase their knowledge.

• Restock for the New Year

  The notebooks we received have helped us prepare and prim our minds for the learning we have since started. They have given us a space to write down our questions and the facts we already know about certain science topics as well as a place to store the knowledge we have acquired about topics like Ratios and Area.

  I believe that students have taken more ownership over their learning after being given the tools and resources to help them organize their knowledge banks and be able to still "wonder" about the things they don't understand yet.

  This year I have already seen how students have sought to make their notebooks something they are proud of and a place where there is no judgment or embarrassment about how they are learning. It makes me so encouraged to see students happy to get their journals out to share their work. Recently during our school's Open house, students were able to show their journals to their parents and explain how we have been using them to help us learn. They were excited and so pumped to have something that was all theirs to share with their parents! The support you have provided us has been invaluable to our progress!”

• Expanding Our Food Pantry

  Thank you so much for supporting my students and their families. This project has allowed us to give a number of families some essential household items that they need. Many of our families are living on an extremely limited budget. We are fortunate enough to have a food pantry and clothing closet for our students. Having some small appliances available has also been very helpful to a number of our families.

  Whenever possible we collect local donations so that we can pass on gently used household items to families in need. However, when it comes to electric appliances, often the ones donated are broken or not safe to pass on, so we no longer collect them. Being able to a post project for electric appliances is very helpful.

  Regardless of a families past experience, being able to offer and if necessary, show them how to use some of these appliances has been really helpful in making families feel welcome in our school community. The air fryer, rice cookers, and irons have been very helpful. Families have been extremely appreciative and thankful.

• We Have the Basket But No Balls

  Funded Dec 4, 2024

  Thank you very much for helping out with our basketball program and allowing us to get new basketballs. Our players will be very excited to be able to have new basketballs next year. They will not have to rush out in order to get a good basketball. We will be able to put some of our older basketballs to be used for either gym or our elementary students at recess. Both our girls and boys programs have benefited from your donation of these basketballs.

• We Need Footballs

  Funded Nov 10, 2024

  Thank you, again for giving some of your own hard-earned income to help my students have more tools for learning, and playing multiple games. My students, and I have been enjoying the new footballs, for a handful of games, now, and the kids are constantly asking to use them during their recess time, as well.

  When the balls first arrived. A few of my fifth graders were the first ones to get a peek shortly before we began our football unit. They were excited, and one even asked if I would let him keep one when he graduates! They said that the balls were "perfect". Before we got these footballs, some of the kids would bring their own, but they were always very worn, and/or ripped up, so the new balls were a nice surprise.

  Now that Football is accessible to my students, the opportunities are just opening up! I am excited to be able to continue to expand what is offered to my students because of your generosity. Thank you, so much. may my God bless you, and richly supply your every need.”
