Students of STEM
Funded Sep 6, 2017It is such an honor to work with students who are excited about creating, building, and discovering through the tools that you provided for us. We daily analyze our creations in order to determine how to make improvements. This developmental play is the foundation for students who will become tomorrows engineers and mathematicians. It is a privilege to receive your contribution to such a dynamic group of learners. In the new year we will begin a unit using the Code and Go Robot Mouse. We are ready!”

Funded Aug 31, 2017I am so excited to share that we recently used our Time for Kids magazine for our Trades and Services unit. We concluded our studies by learning about saving, spending, and giving. Time for Kids featured a week specifically on that topic. Its was a valuable tool for concluding our unit. In addition, we recently hosted a "Market Days" to sell goods we created. We will be planning how to save, spend, and give from our earnings. Truly a beautiful connection for my class. Thank you for sharing your resources with my terrific class.”

Funded Dec 30, 2016Thank you for your generous donations to "Technology and Learning". We have been able to use our tablets on an average of twice a day. Once during Literacy Stations and another time during Math Stations.
We used our tablets during our Literacy Stations to enhance Social Studies opportunities. Specifically, we used the Brain Pop, Jr. app to learn more about Veteran's Day. One of the photos shown is of a Veteran who visited our classroom.
The camera capability on our tablets allows us to take pictures of our many Lego creations. We use our math stations to support STEM by incorporating the use of Lego's. In order to remember our creations, we take pictures with our tablets.
Students enjoy working in groups, pairs, and individuals. Cooperative learning is a key part our learning environment. We use our tablets to support learning in many ways.
Your donations will not only support my students this year, but in the years to come, as well.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Margulies
