  • Pocket Talk to Communicate

    Funded Sep 3, 2021

Thank you so much for your very generous donations! We were able to supply 4 pocket talks to our English Language Learners. These students use these devices to communicate with their teacher and peers. It allows them to express themselves clearly and accurately. Your contribution provided these kiddos with the tool they needed in order to achieve academic success as well as a means to interact with their peers.

The students were very excited to receive the pocket talk. They were a little timid to use it at first, but now they grab it and text away.”

    With gratitude,

  • Virtual Classroom Supplies

    Funded Aug 25, 2020

Thank you so very much for your generous contributions to our classroom. Due to COVID 19, we have shifted to mostly virtual instruction for all students. Our school has become a 1:1 school where every child has their own device. The green screen you purchased for our students, brings learning alive for the students. They are more engaged during the lessons. They enjoy using the screen to show their individual learning. They get excited to create movie clips and pictures that demonstrate their understanding of the content.”

The flexible seating options you helped provide to our class makes our classroom a more inviting space. Not only this year's class, but also all the classes to come, will be able to enjoy learning in a more comfortable fashion. • On the Floor Learning

    Funded Aug 29, 2019

Thank you so very much for donating to our classroom! The rug arrived last Friday! The kiddos were so excited that they couldn't get off it! It is the perfect size for my fourth graders to stretch out and work on their assignments. I love that the rug is also an educational piece. The kiddos can see the correct formation of cursive lettering, while also using the rug as a functional piece of decor. Thank you so much for considering our project and for making our classroom a home away from home. Your kindness and generosity is truly appreciated!”

  • Flipping the Classroom

    Funded Aug 11, 2018

Thank you s much for your generous donations. The kids have expressed how thrilled they are to have flexible seating gin the classroom. They have told me how much they won't miss their wooden desks. Each day, they give me their best efforts so they can be the first student to pick flexible seats for the next day. The yoga balls and wobble stools are their favorite seats in the room. Your donation has helped make my classroom friendlier and more inviting for the students. They seem to be more at ease while working.”

    Funded Nov 2, 2017

Thank you so much for continuing to donate to our classroom. I have been able to provide my kiddos with a comfortable place to learn and grow. Thanks to your generosity and thoughtfulness, my kiddos have a classroom they enjoy coming to each day. They love their work spaces and give their best effort on all assignments. You are making an impact on these kiddos. You are giving them the resources they need to be even more successful in their educational career. I am forever grateful for your donations.”

  • Home Sweet Home

    Funded Jan 25, 2018

Thank you so much for your generous donations. My kiddos have truly enjoyed being able to choose their seating in the classroom. They love working at the long desks which allow them to spread out. They love sitting on the stools while working on group projects. You helped make our classroom a cozy home away from home!

The kids were thrilled when the packages arrived. We had to come up with a flexible seating plan so that all students could rotate the stools, balls, and wobble cushions. We also have to rotate who sits at which desk. They all want to use the stools and long desks all the time.

My next plan is to find more alternative seating so that all students have flexible seating at all times. They all have different preferences, and I would love to be able to meet all of their needs and desires. Thank you again for contributing to our class. We truly appreciate you!”

    With gratitude,

  • Flexible Learning Environment

    Funded Feb 28, 2017

Thank you for your very generous donations! My kiddos love the flexible seating in the classroom. They look forward to coming to class each day because they know they can move and wiggle when they need to. They love that they have choice in the classroom. They have been able to concentrate better and focus more on the tasks given rather than fidgeting with their supplies, desks, name tags or other items. I would not have been able to provide this to my students independently. Thank you so much for helping my vision come to life.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bobbitt

Many of the students attending my school do not have the economic advantages of children in other schools. Many of them live in lower income settings and their parents cannot afford to give them specialized learning experiences that you can help provide. Students will get to watch a tadpole grow into a frog with the frog hatchery kit. They will use the backyard safari habitat for a safe and comfortable living place for the tadpoles and frogs. This habitat will offer easy viewing of the changes taking place. Students will use the nonfiction books to learn more about tadpoles and frogs and compare their own findings with what they read in the text. Offering a child a new experience and watching their face light up with new knowledge is at the heart of every educator. We will not know what we have provided them for many years to come, but we do know that a special teacher or a special experience can help influence a child to go on to do great things. Students gain a better understanding of concepts when the activities they participate in relate to the real world. This lesson covers the Tennessee State Science standards and guidelines. By the end of third grade, students need to be able to identify the different stages of various life cycles. They must have a conceptual understanding that metamorphosis is a transformational process. Your donation can give our students a chance to become connected to the world with hands on experiences while teaching them the required curriculum. Students will participate in the scientific process by demonstrating the standards listed above using the materials provided by your donation.
