Help support Ms. Kook's Classroom

Money is tight in school, and resources are often scarce. Being given the proper funds to buy supplies I need for my classroom and books for my library would help my students learn tremendously, and enhance the learning environment. The first steps towards success is preparation and for each student to have a book in hand! The lack of proper resources to create a dynamic learning environment puts my students at a disadvantage from the get-go. Having the necessary resources for my students at the start of the year will ensure that my classroom is a place of productive learning, as well as a comfortable environment for my students to thrive. I have requested basic school supplies, a printer, several organization devices, and different types of classroom decorations. In my ELA classroom I have eager readers, but a library that needs updating! I added titles that my students from last year have requested in their "wish lists". It would be wonderful if my voracious readers (of varying reading levels) all have books they can access and enjoy. The titles my students have requested range in reading levels and genre, which reflects the wide range of readers in my classroom. Some of the books they requested are the Harry Potter book series, The Hunger Games, The Dork Diaries series, and various urban fiction novels. The printer I have requested will help my students be able to publish their written work. I want my students to be proud of their finished written products! The printer will also allow them to be able to print off resources when they engage in research during several of the units during the year. Let's make this school year the best one!
