Basil, rosemary, oregano, palms and ferns have set the stage for a great play that my students are all getting ready to perform. They walk inside my classroom and this is some of what they see growing by the window. It is their work. Ninth and tenth grade students are getting their hands dirty and working collaboratively as they learn about the importance of plants in our lives. In my Greenhouse Biology class, we are studying biology with an immersion of hands on plant activities. My students are already making connections to their lives and I would really like to have this book to keep the momentum going. Our school is considered a high-need community. Although my students know the importance excelling in spite of the odds, they need a little support; hence, the book.
