Kindness Learned to Ripple on
Funded Oct 13, 2024Thank you for helping me bring this project to life… just last week I had a parent meeting with “ M’s” mom because she was concerned about her daughter. They have just arrived from Guatemala 3 months ago after enduring 6 months of travel through Central America and Mexico. In Mexico they traveled on “La Bestia” the cargo train everyone talks about. She was seeking counseling for her daughter. I assured her that she will have many opportunities to learn about emotions and how to understand them. Now with all the material I will be getting thanks to you I can provide a warm and welcoming classroom where she can use a plushie or two for support on her journey to new opportunities!”

Switch! It's Time to Rotate...
Funded Nov 4, 2022I know that it has taken me some time to officially through this site to thank you, but I am everyday thankful for your donations. It has made small group instruction doable with just me in the classroom. Children are very engaged with all the supplies that are available in their rotations and feel focused and challenged. Thank you for understanding the need and helping me reach my goals in first grade so that students can move on confident to second grade!
Again thank you so very much and you have no idea the impact your donations have had on the quality of instruction and learning!”

My Books Are Bucket Fillers! I Can See Me!
Funded Jul 12, 2020Thank you for supporting my students in seeing themselves in books that are culturally relevant and community building. It brings me so much hope and joy when a child truly connects to a book because they see their community and similar plots and settings they are familiar with.
I remember that when I first got these books and showed them to the kids they could not believe that we had so many books and resources to dig into reading and writing given by you all! As you know some may have books at home, some do not but there should be no reason as to why their classroom should lack cultural representation as well as materials adequate for their age.
It has been a while since I have written about this project but to this day I cherish and care for the supplies that were donated to my amazing students!”

Funded Oct 30, 2016Words cannot express the appreciation and love I feel towards you who have taken the time to read about my class and our expectations. I am deeply moved and inspired to continue with the work I believe helps my students engage and feel connected to their education. When my students come in and know that so many of our beautiful and useful supplies are there due to the help from you- it makes them feel amazing because some of them come to school hoping to find a place where they can unwind, feel safe and most importantly: grow!”

Let's Read and Write!
Funded Oct 22, 2016This thank you is charged with love and intense amount of hope you have fio my students and I ! When my students realize that it was a collective group of people that believe in my mission to get them into a space of growth and prosperity within themselves and their education their face just "lights up". In a school where many parents do not have the means to contribute neither monetarily nor physically.. it makes a huge difference to have tools and supplies that help close the gap. You are the change... thank you for your contributions and being part of helping me with my vision.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Favila
