Keeping It Organized!
Funded Mar 27, 2018The Materials and resources I received from this project will definitely keep my classroom organized. My students have a place to put all of their needed supplies and this definitely helps keep the flow of the classroom in tact. Keeping Our classroom organized is a key component of a well run classroom, my students are already organized but the materials that we received definitely helps the classroom run smoother. I've already noticed that there is less movement and less asking where something is it's right in their face. I also received an organizer for my teacher Time table and it is helping already to make my center rotations stay organized.”

Funded Mar 27, 2018My students were so excited to see the small robots we decided to just let it do a few things that we will be creating all types of courses and tracks for those robots they also love the Alpha bots, they called them letter transformers. These robots will keep my children so engaged and wanting to learn what else they can do I'm so excited to have these in my classroom. I am sure the more we learn about these robots the more we will create more dramatic scenery and the Alpha robots will also help them with the letter recognition, everything is so much fun and we are so excited!!!”

Funded Feb 8, 2018We are so excited about or new iPad. The kids were so happy when I opened the box. The iPad will be a very popular center for my students. First day we talked about how to log on and handle the iPad. I showed them all the exciting apps that I had downloaded to the tablet and asked to share some of the ones they play with at home on different devices. We played with Siri, letting them ask her questions to see what silly answers she would give. I am so grateful to have this technology in my classroom. We currently have desktop computers and one other tablet in the classroom, this is much needed technology. All their little fingers can work the iPad much better than them on a desktop with a mouse. Thanks donorschoose.org for supporting the classroom and all the people that give so selflessly.”

Additional Learning Materials
Funded Jan 25, 2018Thanks to my generous donors for the selfless gifts for my classroom. My students will enjoy the games and puzzles. Also my class is full of beautiful bright faces that are all shades and the multi cultural crayons will make a great difference in the way they color pictures of themselves. I am in need of tablets to create anchor charts on and we definitely need dry erase markers for classroom interaction, the markers will allow my students to interact/answer questions on whiteboards during our whole group lessons. All of these materials are needed and will be used daily.”

Funded Feb 8, 2018My kids were so excited when I opened up the boxes that I got from donorschoose. Seeing the beanbags, the brand new back chair pockets and the crayons where they could actually color the true color of their skin was so exciting for them. So, of course we quickly put things out in the room and got started right away, they created images of themselves, we talked about how you can use the crayon match it to the color of your skin, because that doesn't come in a regular box, so they were so excited to be able to draw a picture and it actually looked like them. The beanbags add so much color and delight to my reading area, it just motivates them to want to be there and be still with the book, and that excites me. Know that I just got all of my materials but I can see within a couple of days how impactful these things have been in my classroom so I'm sure that the rest of my year will be much better due to the materials that we received. I am so grateful for people that give selflessly to class from around the world.”

Materials To Help Us Create Great Projects!
Funded Dec 29, 2017We were so excited to receive the new magnetic cart and construction paper. The cart is very helpful and useful for all the students. With the cart the students are able to write with markers to show their work, it's bright and colorful and the students love that it is mobile. The cart also holds pocket charts which allow for centers to be attached to it. It has already made a huge difference in the way that we learn in the classroom. The construction papers helps with projects and cutting and sorting lessons. All of the great colors make the kids want to learn.”

STEAM Learning
Funded Jan 10, 2018My students are so excited about all of the materials that we received. Our school has become a STEAM Magnet school and beef materials will definitely help enhance my student education. Because of generous donors like you my students will get to experience things that they would not normally have access to. The supplies and materials are all hands on activities that my kindergrtners will love. I could not wait to get everything unpacked and sorted so I could see what we would do first. Fortunately our next unit of study in math is 3D shapes and I have the best materials for them to use in conjunction with our books. These supplies and materials will challenge mybstudents thinking and reasoning and I can't wait to see their minds in action.”

A Few Needed Items
Funded Dec 28, 2016I am truly grateful for all of your generosity. Giving to classrooms, such as mine, which are located in high poverty areas allows students access things that they may not have access to by any other means. My classroom received school supplies that were needed in order for our class room day to day lessons and activities could go on with ease. We are enjoying all of the supplies and materials and they have been beneficial to all of my students. Some of the materials that I received will be used in classes that I will have in the future so your generosity will carry over for many years.”
