Wow! Thank you for your generous support! The students and I are very gracious of your donations and are excited to utilize charged and safely stored devices! Thank you for helping our classroom stay safe, up to date and operational through these challenging times! We are ready to conquer this school year!”

  • Robots And A 3D printer In The Classroom Equals Shaping The Future!

    Funded Apr 22, 2017

Thank you for your support and funding to complete this project for my third graders. Not only do the materials enhance their learning, but they feel the sense of community that surrounds them. They are aware that the materials are from donors.

The students enjoyed building and programming the robots. Perhaps the best thing about them is that they are able to be reused several times. Electric circuits were a huge hit! The students were able to make light bulbs turn on, play music and operate fans. When they became more familiar with how the circuits operated, they were able to build freely and test their inventions. The 3d printer was a lot slower than we anticipated, but a huge hit as well. The students chose to make a 3d image of Donald Trump.

Without your support, these materials would not be available for my students. Thank you for aiding in providing STEM activities for my current and future students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Montague

  • Bricks, Bots, Programming, and Circuits!

    Funded Aug 5, 2016

Third Grade students from Medina ISD Thank YOU!

It has been a joy to watch my students design, explore, create and work together with STEM materials. Not only have my students had the opportunity to grow academicaly, work g together they have been able to grow socially. My stude.ts have gained an excitement and interest in the technological world that they did not have before. They are excited to see HOW things work. Using Makey Makey during energy unit in science provided physical evidence of how potential, kinetic and sound energy are produced.

Thank you for supporting our future!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Montague

Through student-driven exploration, my students will be able to plan, build and test circuits, create inventions, work on programming, sequencing, estimation, and problem solving all while having fun! My students need to have tools that will help them better understand scientific concepts. Bee Bot is the introduction to robotics. Bee Bot is colorful, friendly, and understands up to 40 commands. After students are familiar with the basics of Bee Bot, they will be able to create more sophisticated programs. Using snap circuits students will learn the basics of electronics and be able to build projects such as alarms, door bells, and voice recorders. Makey Makey is an "invention kit for everyone." Students will be able to use computer programming skills and turn basic objects such as bananas into keyboards! The possibilities are endless! The Lego sets will encourage creativity and engineering by allowing students to design and build moving machines! Students will be learning and applying math, science, and social skills while working through the stations. Best of all, they will learn it's okay not to succeed on their first try and learn the importance of perseverance. Help me instill the passion for STEM and inspire our future! Preparing future engineers one student at a time!
