  • Cool Moods and Attitudes

    Funded Jun 12, 2017

Thank you so much for believing in my project. I can go to work each day knowing that my class and I will look forward to working and sharing with cool moods and attitudes. I am so excited to bring an amazing atmosphere to a new group of 2nd graders who will work while staying cool, calm, and collected. I am excited for us to share what it means to promote tolerance even when we have disagreements after lunch. I am forever grateful. Thank you so much for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Fennal

  • Starting on the Right Foot

    Funded Sep 19, 2016

    Dear Donors,

My students and I want to thank you very much for your generosity. The supplies we have received has definitely gotten us started on the right foot. Your generous donations have helped with creating anchor charts and putting them on the wall. The anchor charts are used for classroom decoration as well as getting the students to use them as a reference when completing classwork, projects, tests, etc.

My students were very surprised upon receiving the materials. One of my students, "There really are nice people." The students helped me in setting up the materials around the classroom. At the end of each day they continue to leave the room in the neat fashion so as to not ruin the materials. They love the big post it chart paper. Our only struggle is finding a place to keep it in the room. We are chart paper happy. They are also very excited to have centers up and running, especially the computer center.

Within the next couple of weeks, my students will create a big collage depicting different types of communities. The computer center will be used for research to find pictures of different communities. The chart paper will be used to create the collage and of course the crayons will also be used to add their own touches to the collage.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Fennal

The materials I have asked for will help keep us clean and organized for the 2022-2023 school year. I want to make sure every child has the opportunity to start the year with necessary supplies to have a successful start. I want to fully promote how an organized space saves time. Below is a short list of the materials being requested for my classroom: Chair storage- to keep their personal items with them neatly. We don't have desks and we often run out space in the cubbies Pencil cases- to promote responsibility with keeping up wit their own pencils Swiffer pads- to alleviate us coming into the room with a dirty looking or sticky floor because maintenance was short staffed. We can do it ourselves before we leave. Clorox wipes- to keep our working areas clean and disinfected at all times And of course the crayons, paper, glue sticks will definitely be used throughout the year for various activities.
