Our classroom library is rich with authors we learn about and themes we talk about. We have poetry hanging from our windows and our artwork adorns the walls. The books that are part of this project will help my struggling readers know that they can choose books they can read independently. There are titles that are of high interest to my first graders and that will help them feel successful as learners. The more variety of titles I can provide for them, the more independent they will become as readers.
