The materials I am requesting will give students with Autism and specific sensory needs a flexible learning space. My students often struggle sitting in the traditional school setting. Small additions to our classroom and portable options they can bring to the general education classroom will increase comfort and meet their sensory needs. For example, if a student needs to move frequently to increase attention to learning, a ball chair can provide this. If a student needs a sensory safe place to calm down, the light filters can help provide comfort. If you support the environment, I will support the learning!
